What you Should Ask About Shingles Disease

July 8th, 2010
submit111@gmail.com asked:

An estimate of about a million people in America suffer from shingles disease every year. If you haven’t heard of the disease, its time you get yourself informed. You or a loved one could be at risk of suffering from shingles disease.

What causes shingles?

This disease is closely associated with chicken pox. This is because the virus varicella zoster which causes chicken pox is also the cause of shingles disease. In addition, a person can only suffer from shingles if he has had chicken pox in the past. This is because the chicken pox virus lies dormant after patient recuperation and can recur at some point in the person’s life as shingles.

Is it the same as herpes?

Another name for shingles is herpes zoster. Some other skin diseases may also carry the name herpes. Shingles disease however and some other skin diseases carrying the name herpes is not the same as ******* herpes which is a sexually transmitted disease.

Who is at risk of having shingles?

Anyone who has had chicken pox may get shingles. Most of the time though children and young adults who still have strong immune systems may still be able to avoid the illness. Those who are at high risk of developing shingles disease are those with weakened immune systems. These include the elderly and those who are extremely stressed out or fatigued. Of course, people who are severely sick with cancer, AIDS, leukemia and other illnesses also have a higher risk of developing shingles disease.

What are the symptoms of shingles?

The disease is also often called St. Anthony’s Fire because of the seemingly fiery pain the comes from the nerves and runs through the muscles and tissues. Aside from the pain, one will also develop reddish blisters. Fever, chills, fatigue, headache and stomach pains also accompany shingles. Of course, the rashes or blisters may also feel a little itchy.

Are there any complications that follow shingles?

Some individuals may experience shingles more than once. In some cases, even if shingles does not recur, an individual may experience post herpetic neuralgia. This is an enduring and chronic pain usually among the elderly that may go on long after the shingles disease has been treated. In rare instances, shingles can cause some paralysis, encephalitis, pneumonia, blindness, ear problems and even death.

Can shingles spread?

People who have never had chicken pox or have not been vaccinated must steer clear from fresh, active blisters. It cannot however, be transmitted through casual, indirect contact. Once the blisters develop a crust, the virus can no longer be spread.

How do you avoid shingles?

Have yourself vaccinated against chicken pox. If you’ve already had chicken pox before, then you can delay the incidence of shingles disease by keeping your immune system strong and healthy. People with shingles should keep blisters covered to avoid transmitting the virus to others.

Is it a waste of human/earth resource that Gmail stores emails sent or received twenty years ago?

July 8th, 2010
BingJi W asked:

I don’t see what is the value to store emails you sent or received ten or twenty years ago. So, I think Gmail is wasting human/earth resource to provide such a feature which will store all emails of a person’s lifetime. Even after a person is dead, his/her email is still stored at Gmail.

What’s your opinion?

Tmj Detection: How to Tell if you Have a Tmj Symptom

July 7th, 2010
submit111@gmail.com asked:

TMJ is a common health problem that affects areas such as head, neck, shoulders, jaw and the back. It is accompanied by pain and discomfort in the jaw. TMJ is basically caused by an inflammation in the jaw, which eventually causes a TMJ symptom you might or might not notice.

Some patients do not feel any symptoms of their TMJ condition at all. However, if a TMJ symptom is found, it is important to find treatment right away, since TMJ does not only affect the jaw. If you’d like to know whether you have a TMJ symptom or not, go through some of the common TMJ symptoms.

TMJ Symptoms

One of the first things you may notice when you have TMJ is feeling a particular soreness in your ****** muscles or jaws upon waking up in the morning. You may find that you have a hard time opening and closing your mouth, or biting properly. These conditions make it especially difficult for you to chew or eat certain types of food. TMJ can also impair speech to a certain degree, as the jaw tends to lock or experience too much tension.

You may notice that, along with the impairment of physical function are sounds you may notice in your jaw like clicking and popping. Grinding sounds can also occur as you start to grind your teeth to find a good bite. Grinding can occur at night when you are sleeping, so if your roommate or partner tells you about this the next day, then may have a TMJ symptom.

The Visible Symptoms

Visible symptoms of TMJ would include the jaw protruding from the patients face. If you need to physically pull your jaw backwards towards your ears just to have a comfortable bite, then you may have a TMJ symptom. When you have TMJ, your body reflexes by using your chewing muscles to tow your jaw forward.

If the case becomes worsened your head may start to lean forward as your anterior neck muscles gradually stretch. This can give you overall bad posture.

The more obvious sign and symptom of TMJ is if the areas around your mouth become red and swollen. Another obvious TMJ symptom is having an unbalanced lip position and a prominent ****** fold under the chin.

Symptoms Of Other Conditions

The problem with TMJ is that it can cause other conditions. Symptoms can be experienced in linked conditions such as headaches and ringing in the ears, since the head and ears are one of the closest body parts to the affected jaw. You may feel constantly dizzy or develop sleeping disorders because of the discomfort.

TMJ symptom can cause you to experience back pains and even difficulty swallowing/breathing. You may also develop cervical problems including pain and discomfort in the cervix, since a TMJ symptom can gradually become a symptom found in the head and neck.

Here are most of the basic tools you will need for your tiling job:

a) Put safety gear on. Use a pair of safety glasses, heavy leather gloves, and long-sleeved work clothes, especially if it involves taking out the existing ceramic tiles. Broken shards and other debris can cause nasty cuts, if you are not careful. b) A tape measure, tile spacers, carpenter’s square and a bubble level. c) A mallet and hammer, a putty knife and a trowel (preferably, the notched kind), and a rubber grout float and a putty knife. d) A tile cutter (which may be rented) and a pair of tile nippers. e) Mortar material like a thin set mortar, or any one of a wide selection of tile adhesives. f) Tiling grout and sealant. Tiling grout comes in many color tints that you can choose from to fit your desired look and floor design.

Prepare your subfloor before installing your tiles.

Always check for cracks and debris when If you’re working on a concrete subfloor. Make it is smooth and clean. Repair as many of the cracks as you can. If you see cracks that are too large to repair, replace the floor section where they are found with new concrete. For plywood subfloors, be sure that the wood is at least 1 and 1/8 inches thick and is supported by an equally strong underlayment. Otherwise, your ceramic tiles will dislodge easily, or worse, break and need replacing.

You’ll need to tear out the existing tiles in case the floor you’ll be installing tiles on has existing tiles. For starters, all you need to do is use a large flat-bladed chisel and a mallet, and just hammer away. Then, you’ll need to clean out the debris. If you to smoothen your subfloor — you may want to rent a sander to do the job. Be sure to keep yourself protected. Use heavy-duty leather work gloves, safety glasses, and long-sleeved work clothes.

Lay out your floor.

Measuring the length and width of your floor will help you determine how to install ceramic floor tile and help you know estimate the number of ceramic floor tiles you will need to purchase. Start by finding the center point of your floor area. You can do this by measuring across the room and marking the center. Do this in opposite direction and mark the center, as well. These chalk lines will help you with how to install ceramic floor tile and with your tile positioning.

Let the tiling begin!

Make sure you position and place the first tile at the intersection of the two lines you made. Then, bond it to your subfloor by using a thin set mortar, or a tile adhesive of your choice. Using a notched trowel for applying the mortar is best on how to install ceramic floor tile. But you may actually use the more common trowel variety is you don’t have one. To secure the ceramic tile in its place, press down while twisting it back and forth till the tile no longer is set. If some of the mortar or adhesive oozes out, use your trowel (or a damp sponge) to scrape off the excess. Do this process over with the next tile, and so on and so forth, until you’ve finished your ceramic floor tiling.

Time to grout and seal.

The Best Business Opportunity is One That is Right for You!

June 17th, 2010
mrmisuccess@gmail.com asked:

When searching through the Internet you will often see many ads for business opportunities. The question is how do you know the best choice for the right business opportunity for you? This article will give you valuable tips on making the best choice for yourself.

1. You have to be able to make money doing it. Any business opportunity you look at must be able to be profitable. Most new businesses fail in the first five years due to lack of money or lack of knowledge. This could mean lack of knowledge on how to run a

business, or lack of knowledge in the type of business you choose.

Being profitable would seem to be a given, yet people start businesses everyday without ever understanding a simple balance sheet. Income minus expenses equals profit. If you are not making money eventually you will be out of business.

2. The best business for you could be one that you have an area of expertise in, or a love for. If you love to work on cars maybe you could start your own business working on other people’s cars. Many people have a fear of getting ripped off and take their cars to overpriced auto repair franchises just so they do not have to worry about being taken advantage of. You might be able you capitalize on this.

The internet makes it easy to start a business in virtually anything. Let’s say you love gardening. You could combine that passion with internet marketing to create an information website on gardening tips. If you live in Minnesota you could specialize it and make it gardening tips in Minnesota.

Are you familiar with affiliate marketing? This is a way to make money selling products for a company as a sales person for them. Websites like CJ.com or AssociatePrograms.com have merchants who will pay you to sell their products. Doing some research you can come up with companies willing to pay you to sell their gardening products.

This is one type of business opportunity you could start at home and make money in a niche that you enjoy. Gardening!

3. Do you have money to start a business opportunity? Do you have time to start one as well? What you lack in time you will have to make up in money, and what you lack in money you will have to make up in time. Starting a business will require both.

If you are short on money consider starting part time until you have cash flow. If you do not have time you can outsource many of the day to day tasks. This is true on the internet. You can hire a website builder. You can hire a writer to create information to put on the pages, and so on.

These are a couple of tips on starting your own business and finding the right business opportunity that will give you a chance to be successful.
