Is there a way to bypass gmail’s trash when you delete mail?

I have an email client that downloads my gmail messages via POP3, and I have gmail’s settings as “delete gmail’s copy” when messages are accessed with POP.

The problem is, they aren’t really deleted - they just go straight into the trash folder. Is there a way to disable this folder or else set up a filter to bypass the trash folder?

Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to bypass the Trash. However, emails in the trash will automatically disappear after 30 days.
