How can I create spam filter in gmail so that only a few mails go to inbox?

Maulik Bhatt asked:

I want to receive only mails from my contacts in the inbox. All other mails should be classified as spam. How can I do it in gmail?
In other words, if the sender is in my contacts list, the mail should fall in the inbox. If the sender is NOT in the inbox, the mail should always be in the spam. Can anyone guide me for this?

Im not sure how to do that directly, but you could create a folder called ‘contacts mail’ or something like that and make a filter filtering all your contacts mail into that folder.

    good luck
