Can I make Gmail my default email in Internet Explorer 7?

Shintsu asked:

I want to make Gmail my default emailer in IE7 (Like when I click an email address it opens a new Gmail with their address and the subject already filled in). Is there any way to do this?
Gmail doesn’t show up as an option for me. I am also using Windows XP Pro with service pack 3.

    get a gmail

    Hello,

If using Vista click Start > Default Programs > Set program access and computer defaults > Click Custom and follow what it says.

    Thanks,

    set up gmail

From Tools menu, go to Internet options, programs and set your default email as well as other items on the list to your liking.
    I hope this helps.

If you download gmail notifier(or already have it downloaded) you can select options. Then make sure that Use Gmail for internet mailto: links is checked.
